Hello, I’m Claire. I’m based in Los Angeles, and I’m currently working on developing a new range of functional pottery, designed for everyday use.

Originally from Frome, England, I studied 3D Design at Loughborough University and graduated specialising in hand thrown, functional ceramics. This led me to deVOL Kitchens, where I was the lead ceramic designer and workshop manager, creating a wide range of tableware, lighting and tiles over the course of 9 years.

In October 2025, I moved to Los Angeles to manage the new deVOL Kitchens showroom in West Hollywood. After a few months of settling in, I was able to find a communal studio space in my new neighbourhood to continue my exploration and personal practice in my spare time.

I’m currently working on new forms and glazes, using electric kilns again after some time away, having previously worked with gas kilns and reduction firing.
